We had a wonderful final meeting of 2024, filled with festive cheer. Members enjoyed delicious mince pies and cream as we gathered to watch the inspiring film "How Great is our God" by Pastor Louie Giglio, which sparked a thought-provoking discussion about creation.

Paul introduced his exciting project to create a new 'Bee Highway' aiming to support local biodiversity and Laurie led us in singing 'Silent Night' bringing a beautiful and reflective close to our gathering.

We express our gratitude to all the men who braved a miserable December evening to join us. A special thanks to Andy for providing such a welcoming venue at Great Bealings and to everyone who attended and contributed to making this meeting a memorable one.

We very much look forward to seeing you all once again in the New Year!

Christmas Meeting

A MiS special festive edition

November 24 Meeting

'Equipped'

We were privileged to host Simon Pinchbeck as our Guest Speaker at our Great Bealings 'Shed' and his presentation, titled "Equipped," drew our largest audience ever! Simon, an ex-police officer, shared his profound insights on the importance of being well-equipped for service. His experiences highlighted how we can become effective ambassadors for Jesus within our families and communities.

Simon's talk was not only enlightening but also sparked meaningful discussions around sensitive issues that most men face. His powerful message resonated deeply, reminding us all of the significance of being prepared and protected in our everyday lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Simon for an inspiring evening and to everyone who attended and contributed to the vibrant discussions. Thank you for making this event truly memorable.

October 24 Film Night

'FIRST, DO NO PHARM'

On the evening of 25th October, a small group of men gathered in Great Bealings for our first ever Film Night. We watched the thought-provoking documentary, "First Do No Pharm," which delved into the influence of 'Big Pharma' on medical treatments. The film was well received, sparking deep discussions among the attendees. Many were surprised by the insights shared and it led to meaningful conversations about the state of the medical industry. Overall, the evening was a great success, and we look forward to planning similar events in the future.

October 24 Meeting

Interview with

Calvin Robinson

American Author, Speaker and Popular Radio Host, Eric Metaxas talked openly with British Anglican Cleric, Commentator and Broadcaster, Calvin Robinson in this interview recorded during May 2024. Calvin spoke of his concerns regarding the direction of  British Church in accepting a secular culture, a shifting Christian demographic and uncontrolled immigration. The video prompted a lively discussion amongst attendees who aired their views and thoughts in a challenging manner.

A moment was also set aside to mention Steve Legg by way of a  short tribute video posted by Good Gospel Channel

November 23 Meeting

We watched abridged segments of a video presented by Dr. Ben Carson, a retired American neurosurgeon and ex  US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development serving under the Trump Administration. Here is the complete YouTube version - well worth a watch if you have an hour to spare. It certainly prompted much discussion after our viewing but what do you think, is UK going same direction as USA regarding the topics addressed? Please write in to let us know your thoughts.

September Meeting

'God is Love'

Revd. Brynn Baymann

Difficult to believe that a large group of guys would turn out on a Friday evening to listen to a presentation entitled, 'God is Love' but this is exactly what happened when our Guest Speaker, Brynn Baymann took the stage in September. Many were touched as Brynn related personal experiences and referenced scripture to drive home his message.

July Meeting

Where are the Dad's?

A summer evening BBQ and a great message from Guest Speaker,  Simon Pinchbeck as he asked a topical question which sparked some very lively and enthusiastic discussion.

Listen to the full message on the MiS YouTube Channel but be prepared to be challenged!

May Meeting

Many were moved by Joni Eareckson as she presented her story in this touching YouTube video clip.

We are so blessed, just to wake up each morning but often take too much for granted. Let's enjoy our day and make each minute count!

Life can change in a heartbeat!

A massive thank you to so many men who shared stories and actively participated in a thought provoking presentation about life (and death.)

Sobering to realise that 23,000 children were born and 21,000 people died on this planet whilst we focussed our attention on this issue!

April Meeting

Blessed by Life Experiences!

One of those special evenings when a number of men stepped out in faith to speak of their own times of difficulty, thoughts and fulfilment. Following a very illustrative journey through Calcutta from Roger, attention turned to Peacocks and afterwards to "What it means to be a Man" before Mark told of his early years as a non-believer. He spoke of his encounter with cancer and a life changing acceptance of Jesus Christ before introducing the group to a worship song by Rend Collective that came to hold a special place in his heart. Many were touched by this song which is provided here via a link to its YouTube address.

Simon presented a powerful gospel message to a "full shed" of men who gave up a Friday evening to meet together. The group were challenged during the opening segment as Simon asked, " Do you know where you are going when you die?" The responses were very varied but all were thoughtful!

Check out our NEWS page for news of Simon's latest book.

We welcomed Guest Speaker:

Simon Pinchbeck

Simon was a police oficer in the Metropolitan Police Force for 24 years. After leaving the force, he got caught up in a life of crime before eventually finding Jesus and becoming a born-again Christian. He now travels the UK and internationally, sharing his story and the gospel.
